我覺得需要具備這么幾點，個人體會：第一，學過中國法律，中國和英美的法律不同，你不懂中國法沒法翻譯、理解；第二，要慢慢積累，不要著急，隨時做筆記；第三，也是最重要的一點，非常認真、非常仔細、非常較真地去研究每一個詞、每一句話，一定要把詞、句刨根問底，查遍元照、布萊克等所有好詞典；第四，反復練習或者熟悉，這實際上就是46657597所說的實務背景；第五，原本英語基礎好不好，並不關鍵，但對於理解、表達、運用法律英語而言確實比較重要，所以在學習專業性的法律英語的同時，多看看原味英文文章比較好。

和你一樣，我也是法學專業的學生。就英語來說，專業方面也是用的上的，開設的課程中就有法律英語這門課。英語過四級的太多，6級如果能過將來再就業上會容易得多。不一定要特別專英語，但是你在法律專業英語上必須強化專業英語的能力，不能太差，在法律事務上會得心應手些！

但是，我反對一切毫無目的的死背書。如果你覺得背熟對於自己是一種負擔，那就沒有必要再背什麼書。你需要抓住的是背書它的目的是什麼。比如說背書是為了積累，那麼我平時記下一些好詞好句，多多閱讀別人的文章，也是可以達到同樣目的的，那麼你就可以選擇摘抄積累而不是整篇整篇的大背課文。
但最終的一點是，你必須積累起有用的東西來提高自己，有些時候整篇課文不背，但是好詞佳句恐怕還是要靠背誦才能慢慢掌握吧。當你用這些此句已然成為一種習慣，那背書真的就沒有意義了！
